Ascend has  easy, efficient payment plans for you to make payments toward your tuition. Your student portal will provide friendly reminders to keep you on top of your payments.  Apply here!


Financing

Apply with SweetPay here to determine if you may qualify for a personal loan (over 30 affiliate lenders). Applying does not affect your credit score.

Institutional Scholarships


Institutional scholarships are available at Ascend. You may qualify for an Inaugural Class of 2026 Scholarship or Ascend Ambassador Scholarship. Our admissions staff will guide you through the application process during your admissions interview.


ASCEND Inaugural Class of 2026 Scholarship Program

$250 - $7,500 Award (varies per program)


Requirements (due within 2 weeks of registering)

  • Must submit a current resume.
  • Must submit 3 letters of support (2 professional and 1 personal)
  • Must submit a 250 Word Essay
    • Topic: Why I would like to join the beauty industry and the impact this decision will have on others.


ASCEND Ambassador Program


Overview:
Scholarship recipients at ASCEND will serve as Student Scholarship Aids, providing support to specific roles as a condition of their award. These positions allow students to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the success of the school. Students will report to their designated supervisor for guidance and assignments. 


Award Options:

100 Hr Commitment requires 4 hours per week earning a $1,500 award.

200 Hr Commitment requires 6 hours per week earning a $3,000 award.

Students earn $15 per hour deducted from tuition balance.


Application Process:
Interested scholarship recipients will indicate their preferred aid position during the scholarship acceptance process. Training and guidance will be provided for all roles.



Social Media Aid (Facebook and Instagram) (Filled)


Responsibilities: (Reports to Director of Marketing)

  • Assist the Social Media Manager in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across platforms.
  • Capture engaging behind-the-scenes photos/videos of school activities.
  • Interact with comments and messages under supervision.
  • Monitor analytics and suggest improvements to enhance engagement.

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
  • Creativity and ability to identify content trends.
  • Strong written communication.



Social Media Aid (YouTube, TikTok and Pinterest) (Filled)


Responsibilities: (Reports to Director of Marketing)

  • Assist the Social Media Manager in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across platforms.

  • Interact with comments and messages under supervision.

Photography + Videography Aid  (Vacant)


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Photographer by setting up and breaking down photography equipment.
  • Help stage and organize photoshoots for events, classes, and promotional materials.
  • Edit and organize images for school use under supervision.
  • Maintain the photography calendar and file system.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with basic photography and editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Canva).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.



Retail Merchandising Aid (Reports to Asst. Director) (Vacant)


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Retail Manager with inventory management, stocking, and tracking sales.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and guests.
  • Help manage the punch card loyalty system and membership benefits.
  • Support promotional initiatives for Ascend Beauty Supply.

Skills:

  • Customer service orientation.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of retail operations.


Directorial Liaison Aid (Reports to Assistant Director) (Vacant)

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with organizing schedules, filing, and data entry.
  • Help coordinate meetings and events.
  • Serve as a point of contact for students and staff as directed.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software and administrative tools.


Fundraising Aid (Reports to Assistant Director) (Vacant)


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Fundraising Coordinator in organizing events and campaigns.
  • Research potential sponsors and donors.
  • Assist with writing and editing promotional materials for fundraisers.
  • Track donations and send thank-you letters.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and persuasive writing.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in event planning and nonprofit fundraising.


Student Success Coordinator Aid (Reports to Student Success Coordinator) (Vacant)


Responsibilities:

  • Help organize student files and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Assist in coordinating student events and interviews.
  • Act as a liaison between students, staff, and external partners.
  • Support academic advising sessions as needed.

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.



Scholarship Coordinator Aid (Reports to Assistant Director)(Filled)

  • Assist the Scholarship Coordinator in reviewing and processing applications.
  • Communicate with students about scholarship requirements and deadlines
  • Help organize scholarship-related events, such as award ceremonies.
  • Maintain scholarship documentation and reports.

Skills:

  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.


Institutional Grant Specialist Aid (Reports to Assistant Director) (Vacant)

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Grant Specialist in researching potential funding opportunities.
  • Help prepare grant proposals and reports.
  • Track grant deadlines and application statuses.
  • Assist with managing records for awarded grants.

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of grant-writing processes.


Qualifications for All Positions:

  • Enrollment as a student at ASCEND.
  • Available to provide assistance a minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 hours per week
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence and teamwork.
  • Ability to balance work and academic responsibilities.
  • Strong interest in the designated field of assistance.

Business Development Aid (Reports to Director) (Vacant)

  • Assist the Business Development Manager in identifying new opportunities to enhance school programs and partnerships.
  • Research potential sponsors, partnerships, and outreach opportunities.
  • Track and manage prospective partner communications.
  • Help prepare presentations, proposals, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies to attract clients and students.

Skills:

  • Strong research and organizational abilities.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools.
  • Creativity in brainstorming and developing new ideas.



Recruitment Aid (reports to Marketing Director) (Vacant)


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Recruiter by organizing recruitment events, including virtual open houses and campus tours.
  • Assist in following up with prospective students via email, phone, or social media.
  • Help maintain an updated database of prospective student leads.
  • Participate in developing recruitment strategies and promotional materials.
  • Act as a student ambassador by sharing personal experiences and insights about ASCEND.

Skills:

  • Enthusiastic and approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up efficiently.
  • Knowledge of social media and digital outreach platforms.



FBLA  President Aid (reports to Director)  (Filled)


Responsibilities:

Support the PBL President in organizing chapter meetings, workshops, and competitions.

  • Assist in planning and promoting events that align with PBL’s mission of fostering leadership and entrepreneurship.
  • Manage member records and ensure participation in required activities.
  • Help draft meeting agendas, take notes during meetings, and prepare summaries for the chapter.
  • Serve as a liaison between PBL members and school leadership.


Skills:

  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Passion for business and leadership development.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and staff.

External Scholarships

Our team of student coordinators will explore scholarship opportunities provided by professional beauty associations, non-profit organizations and for profit businesses dedicated to donating toward the education of the next generation of beauty professionals.

Pro Beauty Association – Schwarzkopf Professional Shaping Futures

  • Deadline: April 30, 2025
  • Award: Five $2,000 scholarships


Milady RISE Scholarship
September 1 — November 15, 2025: Application is open and accepting applicants.

November 15, 2025: Application period closes.

November 30, 2025: Recipients will be chosen and notified via email by the Professional Beauty Association.

  • Award: Ten $500 scholarships


Rosy Rewards Scholarship

  • Deadline: October 1, 2025
  • Award: Two $250 scholarships


The Facial Room Society – Microgrants / Esthetics Entrepreneur Award

  • Open: September 1 – November 30, 2025
  • Award: Micro-grants or advanced training packages



Great Clips Scholarship

  • Current cycle OPEN: March 2 – September 1, 2025
  • Award: $5,000


Beauty & Wellness Professionals Scholarship

  • Last deadline was March 1, 2025 – Opens again next year
  • Award: $2,500


School Fundraisers

There will be fundraisers to participate in year round including but not limited to our annual scholarship gala and beauty expo!
