The Ascend Path: 10 Steps from Applicant to Freshman

Step 1: Admissions Assessment ($45 Application Fee)
Visit ascendhsv.com and select the Admissions tab to begin. The $45 Admissions Assessment Fee covers your scheduled 15–30 minute Zoom Admissions Assessment and candidate evaluation. During this meeting, we’ll discuss your career goals and program expectations while evaluating areas such as professionalism, commitment, preparedness, and overall readiness for the program.

Step 2: Acceptance & Registration
Upon receiving your acceptance letter, a $180 Registration Fee + $20 Badge Fee must be submitted within 7 days to secure your spot in the program.

Step 3: Document Submission & Compliance
Submit your Inaugural Class of 2026-2027 documentation within 14 days to avoid a $40 late fee. Proof of your $13 CPR course completion and $60 insurance payment are also due at this time.

Step 4: Academic & Financial Onboarding
Meet with your Student Coordinator and Scholarship Aid officer to map out your academic schedule and establish your financial plan. During this session, you will pay your tuition deposit or set up a customized payment plan.

Step 5: Counselor Consultation
Meet with our program Counselor to ensure you have the mindset, support tools, and personal strategy needed for a balanced and successful journey through academy training.

Step 6: Certification Training & Foundation Courses
Dive into your foundational certification and preparatory training. You will complete Ascend Prep, Regions Financial Literacy, Milady Rise, Barbicide, CPR, product knowledge training, and state Board Laws & Regulations. (Note: Ambassador Training must be completed first, if applicable).

Step 7: Professional Kit & Platform Access
Purchase your digital learning platform access (CIMA), student insurance, and your essential Beginner Kit to prepare for practical application.

Step 8: Uniform Order
Purchase your official Ascend uniform bundle to ensure you meet campus dress code and professionalism standards.

Step 9: Scholarship Verification
Submit official proof of 6 scholarship submissions to finalize your external funding requirements.

Step 10: Ascend Prep Graduation & Freshmen Promotion
Graduate from the Ascend Prep Academy! Upon establishing your official student binder, you will be promoted to Freshman and officially permitted to attend physical, on-campus classes.
