Student Scholarship Aid Positions

Position Type: Part-Time, Scholarship Commitment
Overview:
Scholarship recipients at ASCEND will serve as Student Scholarship Aids, providing support to specific roles as a condition of their award. These positions allow students to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the success of the school. Students will report to their designated supervisor for guidance and assignments.
Application Process:
Interested scholarship recipients will indicate their preferred aid position during the scholarship acceptance process. Training and guidance will be provided for all roles.
Social Media Aid (Facebook and Instagram)
Responsibilities: (Reports to Director of Marketing)
- Assist the Social Media Manager in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across platforms.
- Capture engaging behind-the-scenes photos/videos of school activities.
- Interact with comments and messages under supervision.
- Monitor analytics and suggest improvements to enhance engagement.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
- Creativity and ability to identify content trends.
- Strong written communication.
Social Media Aid (YouTube and Pinterest)
Responsibilities: (Reports to Director of Marketing)

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Retail Manager with inventory management, stocking, and tracking sales.

- Support promotional initiatives for Ascend Beauty Supply.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Business Development Manager in identifying new opportunities to enhance school programs and partnerships.

- Help prepare presentations, proposals, and reports for stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies to attract clients and students.

- Act as a student ambassador by sharing personal experiences and insights about ASCEND.

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) President Aid (Reports to Director)
Responsibilities:
- Support the PBL President in organizing chapter meetings, workshops, and competitions.
- Assist in planning and promoting events that align with PBL’s mission of fostering leadership and entrepreneurship.
- Manage member records and ensure participation in required activities.
- Help draft meeting agendas, take notes during meetings, and prepare summaries for the chapter.
